Born X Raised and Online Ceramics' Born Online Capsule Is for Internet Kids
Inspired by a generation that was raised online, the collaboration nods to nostalgic internet tropes while saluting both label’s hometown of Los Angeles.
After whipping up a Father’s Day collection for all the dads last month, Born X Raised has joined forces with Online Ceramics for a collaborative collection fittingly titled “Born Online.”
The line, which is inspired by a “generation that was raised by the internet,” makes all sorts of nostalgic nods to the digital era of the early 2000s while also singing the praises of both labels’ hometown of Los Angeles.
Among the standout silhouettes, the duo’s green-black letterman jacket dons floral patches on its arms and “You’ll Never Get The Same Moment Twice” messaging on its chest, while the “Angel Inside” hoodie boasts all-over text reading “City of Angels,” “Born Online” and “Angel Inside” in varying fonts inspired by those on the earliest MySpace pages.
Elsewhere, the “Count Your Blessings” T-shirt is covered in angel numbers and old-shool digital motifs; the “Wasted Rocker” tee is screen-printed with an image of a woman surrounded by dual iconography, and a football jersey represents the “Little Angel” team. “You’ll Never Get The Same Moment Twice” branding decorates another graphic-heavy longsleeve, while familiar “Wasted” lettering lands atop a snapback cap.
The Born X Raised x Online Ceramics “Born Online” collection will become available to shop via BXR’s webstore on July 19 at 12 p.m. PDT, as well as Online Ceramics. Take a look at the lineup in the campaign, shot on 35mm film and starring DJ Softest Hard, above.
